Teacher: Tell her what she is she's
Mason: You are smart, you're smart
Amira: You're such a nice friend
You're such a nice friend, she says. Mason is just seven, so is Amira. Mason taking Amira's hand.
Teacher: Do you want to go play with him? Go ahead.
Amira: Okay.

Teacher: a lot of what we do in second grade is talking about finding forgiveness in our heart,and I think it meant a lot more to her that it was coming from him, her peer,than it did when I was saying it to her.

Mason: I want to help people not be mean to people no
Amira: and maybe feel happy and warm inside. if someone's being mean to you that can really hurt your feelings and it did, but Mason helped me.
