Trouble is, they weren't his trees.
They were on his neighbor's property.
And now that understandably upset neighbor
is speaking with "Inside Edition."
This homeowner found 40 downed trees on his property.

No, no. So what happened here?
It was a hurricane of chainsaws.
40-year-old Samih Shinway came home from work and heard chainsaws in the woodsy backyard he owns behind his home in Kinnalon, New Jersey.
He confronted the work crew.

And they told me that they were hired to cut trees down.

Some of the trees left standing had their tops lopped off.
Those red cedar trees were topped off.
They're eventually gonna die.
So who would do such a thing?
Well, court documents say it was a neighbor
identified as Grant Haber.
He's a counter-terrorism expert who's appeared on right-wing media.
Within four months, the Iraq government collapsed.
He lives in this beautiful home.
His motive, get this, Shinway says his neighbor just wanted a better view.
