Once upon a time, in a forest full of giggles and
yawns, there was a big blue mountain called Sleepy Mountain. Every evening, it
hummed a sleepy lullaby that made all the animals feel cozy and calm. But one
night, something strange happened.Sleepy Mountain started to glow. Shiny
sparkles of golden blue twinkled from its top.
"Did the mountain just sparkle?" asked Benny
the bear, rubbing his eyes.
"It's never done that before," hooted Lulu
the owl with a flutter.
"Maybe it's dreaming," mumbled Toto the
tortoise.
Ever so slowly, the three friends packed some honey
biscuits, apple slices, and sleepy berry juice, and began their journey up the
mountain. And guess what they did along the way? They told bedtime stories.
Benny told a silly tale about a bear who snored so loudly he made the trees
shake. Lulu told a story about a moon who got lost and followed star crumbs home. And Toto, well, his story was so slow, everyone
nearly fell asleep.
Then they heard a tiny giggle coming from the clouds.
At the tippy top of the mountain, they found a glowing, floaty, giggly bedtime
spirit.
It yawned and said in a teeny tiny voice, "I got
lost on my way to Dreamland, and I miss bedtime stories."
The friends all smiled.
"Well, then, let's tell you one." Ho, ho,
ho!
They snuggled close and told their best story yet. And
as they did, the glowing spirit slowly calmed, the sparkles faded, and Sleepy
Mountain hummed once again.
That night, the stars twinkled just a little brighter
because stories were shared and hearts were full.
