Hi, I'm Abigail, and this is my tablet. I love it so
much!
I play games, watch videos, and chat with my friends.
But guess what? My parents said I was spending too much time on it. Can you
believe that? At first, I was like, ¡°No way! I need my tablet.¡± I didn't want
to give it up. I felt like I couldn't have fun without it.
Then, mom and dad came up with a plan. They called it
the "Screen Time Challenge." They said it would be fun. I wasn't so
sure, but I decided to try it. I tried playing outside; I climbed trees, rode
my bike, and played tag with friends. At first, I told myself it wasn't fun,
but it was awesome!
Then I tried drawing. I drew my favorite Bible heroes
and funny animals. And guess what? I found a book that I really like! I still
have to use my tablet, but now I balance it with other cool stuff, like the
20-20-20 rule. Every 20 minutes, I take a 20-second break and look at something
20 feet away. It really does help my eyes!
Do you know what the best part was? Family time! We
played board games, acted out Bible stories, and discussed their valuable
lessons. We laughed a lot! I never knew I could have so much fun without my
tablet. Before bed, I put my tablet away to read a book. It helped me sleep
better and have sweet dreams!
