Class for Pet Sitters Offered

Pet dogs have become a big part of countless households in Korea. As the number of pets steadily increases, keeping them healthy and happy is also becoming a huge industry.

For example, there is now a growing number of professional pet sitters. These people are hired to take care of pet dogs on behalf of their owners.

There are even classes to help people to become professional pet sitters. One such class recently opened at Gwangju City Hall in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province.

The 15-hour course was open to both pet owners and people pursuing jobs as pet sitters. It taught theories regarding pet behavior as well as p

ractical tips for outdoor activities.

During classroom lectures, pet experts offered information about establishing healthy diets for dogs and identifying symptoms of common diseases. Also, the participants learned how to read the body language of canines.

The participants also went outdoors, where they learned how to properly walk dogs and reward them during training. They also learned about the appropriate length for leashes and ¡°pet etiquette¡± when encountering other people and pets during walks.

Those who completed the 15-hour course received a certificate of completion. They also became better prepared to be responsible pet sitters and pet owners.
