Korea Repays Kindness of U.S. Couple
Last December, an American couple in the state of New York showed great generosity to a group of nine Korean tourists. During a heavy snowstorm, the tourists¡¯ vehicle became trapped.So, the couple, Alexander and Andrea Campagna, invited the stranded tourists into their home for two nights without hesitation. The strangers quickly became friends, and the Korean tourists even cooked some meals for their benefactors.The heartwarming story was reported by the Korean media. Then, in February, the New York branch of the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO)* invited the Campagnas to Korea as a show of gratitude.On May 13, the couple arrived in Seoul and spent 10 days enjoying various cultural activities. They visited Noryangjin Fisheries Market and Bongeunsa Temple. They also put on hanbok and visited Korean traditional palaces. What¡¯s more, the Campagnas had a reunion with some of the Korean tourists who had stayed at their homein New York. Together, the group bonded and talked about their unforgettable experience.KTO officials said they were glad to have the opportunity to repay the couple¡¯s kindness.
