Vocabulary:

1.Maggot = a creature like a very small worm that is found in decaying meat and other foods and later develops into a fly.
2.Decaying = rotting or decomposing through the action of bacteria and fungi.
3.An enzyme= is a biological catalyst and is almost always a protein. It speeds up the rate of a specific chemical reaction in the cell. The enzyme is not destroyed during the reaction and is used over and over.
4.An ecosystem = is a geographic area where plants, animals, and other organisms, as well as weather and landscape, work together to form a bubble of life. Ecosystems contain biotic or living, parts, as well as abiotic factors, or nonliving parts. Biotic factors include plants, animals, and other organisms
5.Excretement = waste matter discharged from the bowels; feces. Questions:
1.What is a decomposer?
2.How can decomposers help our ecosystem?
3.What does it mean when you say, Decomposers are Heterotrophs?
4.What are the four main types of decomposers? Talk about, how each one works.
5.Do you know any other decomposers? Share it.
