Vocabulary:
1.Cysticercus [‘cysticerci”] = a larval tapeworm at a stage in which the scolex is inverted in a sac, typically found encysted in the muscle tissue of the host.
2.Proglottid = each segment in the strobila of a tapeworm, containing a complete sexually mature reproductive system.
3.Parasite = an organism that lives in or on an organism of another species (its host) and benefits by deriving nutrients at the other's expense.
4.Segment = each of the parts into which something is or may be divided.
5.Nausea = a feeling of sickness with an inclination to vomit. Questions:
1.What is the other name for tapeworm and where does it belong?
